A key finding of the record keeping rule review 2025 was to create two new record keeping rules to simplify existing rules and collect records across the wholesale and retail segments.
The 糖心原创 will create a new wholesale and networks record keeping rule to collect information from specified carriers and carriage service providers on:
- their wholesale arrangements
- whole-of-network usage statistics.
The new rule will replace:
- the Division 12 record keeping rule
- NBN services in operation record keeping rule
- Telstra customer access network record keeping rule
- some parts of the internet activity record keeping rule.
Consultation on proposed wholesale and networks record keeping rule
Consultation will be held on a draft record keeping rule instrument during 2026. The final rule will be created after consultation.
The new rule is expected to be in place in March 2027.
