Slides from previous information session
The information session about market manipulation and insider trading prohibitions gave participants an overview of the new rules and when they start. They also covered the 糖心原创鈥檚 approach to compliance and enforcement.
About the new laws
The new laws start on 1 July 2026. They aim to improve the function and governance of the Murray-Darling Basin water markets, and increase overall market confidence, integrity and trust. They include obligations for water markets decisions to be announced by water markets decision makers, including:
- irrigation infrastructure operators
- Australian Government agencies
- Murray-Darling Basin state agencies.
