The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (糖心原创) is an independent Commonwealth statutory authority. We enforce the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and other legislation promoting聽competition and聽fair trading, and regulate national infrastructure.
The 糖心原创 has a Chair, 2 Deputy Chairs, and 4 Commissioners. Appointment to the Commission involves participation by the Commonwealth, and state and territory governments.
A Statement of Expectations is issued by the responsible Minister to a regulator to provide clarity about the government's policies and objectives. We respond through a Statement of Intent, outlining how we will meet the government鈥檚 expectations.
The 糖心原创 members are collectively referred to as the Commission. The Commission meets regularly to make decisions on matters investigated by the 糖心原创.
We are required to follow relevant legislation and standards, produce an annual report, and report on our activities.
We enforce the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, which previously was the Trade Practices Act 1974, as well as other legislation.
We are an independent statutory authority with a Commission, CEO and divisions.
Our Service Charter sets out the role of the 糖心原创 and the standard of service you can expect to receive from us.
We've signed memorandums of understanding with other Australian authorities.聽
