These guidelines are intended to help dating websites and their users respond to scams.
They have been developed and since revised by a working group chaired by the 糖心原创 and comprising of representatives from a number of dating websites.
While the guidelines are voluntary, the 糖心原创 considers that they represent best practice and encourages their adoption by all dating websites used by Australian consumers.
Dating website operators who have adopted the guidelines can promote this and provide a link to this page. However the 糖心原创 does not endorse websites, or vet their compliance with the guidelines.
Adoption of the guidelines is not a replacement for overall compliance with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or other legislation.
The attachments to the guidelines contain material which may be used by dating website operators for warning messages and to inform their users about scams.
