This report analyses key competition and consumer developments and trends in the private health insurance industry between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019, including ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ enforcement and other actions relating to the health sector.
It is the 21st report prepared by the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ in compliance with an order agreed to by the Australian Senate, requiring the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ to provide a report on: '… any anti-competitive practices by health insurers or providers, which reduce the extent of health cover for consumers and increase their out-of-pocket medical and other expenses.'
