Monitoring fuel prices and the petrol industry
The 糖心原创 monitors retail prices of unleaded petrol, diesel and LPG in Australian capital cities and in more than 190 regional locations. This allows us to provide motorists with fuel price information such as petrol price cycles in the 5 largest cities.
We also monitor prices, costs and profits related to the supply of petroleum products in Australia. This has been carried out under various ministerial directions.
On 18 December 2025, a new was published that extended our monitoring activity for 5 more years, starting on 1 January 2026.

Reports focus on price movements in capital cities and more than 190 regional locations across Australia.

Monitoring prices following the fuel excise cut and restoration
The 糖心原创 closely monitored fuel prices following the Federal Budget reduction in fuel excise from 30 March to 28 September 2022. Results of our monitoring are described in our quarterly petrol reports of March, June and September 2022.
