This is the 18th interim report of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission鈥檚 (糖心原创) inquiry into gas supply arrangements in Australia.
The 糖心原创 continues its focus on the operation of the East Coast Gas Market. This report provides an update on gas supply and demand and contract prices negotiated by gas producers and retailers. It also provides our review of retailer selling practices, informed by broad engagement with stakeholders.
Correction: This publication was amended on 17 June 2024 to update Box 3.5: Case study on Senex鈥檚 Surat Basin expansion. Paragraph 1 of the case study should be read with the following [insertion], 鈥淪enex has had [plans] in place since 2022 to expand their Atlas and Roma North operations in the Surat Basin.鈥 At the time of reporting, Senex had not obtained all required environmental regulatory approvals.
