Consultation on ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ view25 Jan 2024
On 25 January 2024, the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ published a preliminary view proposing to not object to Australia Post’s proposed price increase.
In assessing the draft price notification, the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ found that Australia Post is not likely to recover revenue in excess of efficient costs for its reserved letter service – even with the proposed price increase.
As part of the price assessment process, the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ engaged consultancy firm WIK Consult to provide an independent review of Australia Post’s cost allocation and operating efficiency.
The ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ conducted a public consultation process between 25 January 2024 and 15 February 2024, during which we sought submissions from interested parties on this preliminary view.
