Withdrawal of Interim Satellite Service19 Oct 2016
On 26 August 2016 NBN Co provided notice of its on 28 February 2017 (or a later date as advised). This followed the launch of commercial services provided over its long-term Satellite Network in April 2016.
NBN Co鈥檚 notice identified the NBN Co Ethernet Bitstream Service provided by means of its long-term Satellite Network or Wireless Network (depending on the premises) as alternative products to the ISS, and identified steps it would take NBN Co to facilitate the migration of ISS end-users to these products. NBN Co also developed a further process to pre-install equipment at existing ISS end-user premises to ensure can be migrated to the long-term Satellite Network prior to 28 February 2017.
The SAU provides that the 糖心原创 may object to NBN Co withdrawing a product within 60 Business Days of receiving NBN Co鈥檚 notice of its intention to withdraw that product, having regard to the long-term interests of end-users and other factors set out in the SAU. The 糖心原创 sought feedback from interested parties in respect of NBN Co鈥檚 proposed ISS withdrawal and, having considered this feedback, did not object to NBN Co鈥檚 proposed withdrawal.
