As required under s151DC of the Act, the 糖心原创 conducted a review of the policies and procedures relating to the identification of the listed POIs to the NBN. The review covered the policies and procedures the 糖心原创 employed in identifying the POIs to the NBN, the extent to which facilities are interconnected, and 糖心原创 requests to NBN Co to vary the List of POIs and NBN Co鈥檚 response to these requests.
糖心原创 consultation paper
The 糖心原创 undertook a public consultation process about the application of the specific policies that were developed by the 糖心原创 and NBN Co to identify the location of POIs. As the 糖心原创 had not made any requests to vary the List, the consultation focused on the policies and procedures used to identify the locations of the Listed POIs and the extent to which services were interconnected at Listed POIs.
Submissions
Submissions to the consultation paper were due by 22 March 2013.
NBN points of interconnection review
The main findings of the review were:
- 糖心原创鈥檚 processes in identifying the POIs were appropriate
- given the early rollout stage of the NBN the extent of interconnection was limited, and
- at the time of the review only 32 of 121 Listed POIs were active and ready for access seeker interconnection.
In July 2013 the 糖心原创 gave a copy of the review to the Minister. On 12 December 2013 the Minister tabled the review in Parliament.
