ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´

On 2 April 2026, Airservices Australia (Airservices) submitted a draft price notification to the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´. In the draft notification Airservices proposed increases to its charges for:

• enroute navigation
• terminal navigation
• aviation rescue and fire fighting services.

Airservices proposed annual price increases between the 2026–27 financial year and the 2030–31 financial year, which equates to an average weighted annual price increase of 15.2% (12.3% in real terms). Collectively, these raise the nominal weighted average price for these service lines by 103.2% (78.4% in real terms).

We engaged with Airservices to determine whether the draft price notification was complete and ready for consultation. This included confirming how confidential information would be handled and whether all required information had been provided and was accurate.

On 13 July 2026, Airservices provided a revised draft notification.

Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ is required to assess Airservices' price notifications. After assessing a price notification, we can either:

• not object to the notified increase
• not object to an increase lower than that proposed
• object to the notified increase.
