The Water Act 2007 (the Act) gave the Minister for Climate Change and Water new powers to regulate charges for water planning and water management activities in the Murray鈥揇arling Basin.
Under s. 93 of the Act, the minister asked the 糖心原创 to provide advice on the development of water charge rules for water planning and management charges.
Any rules must contribute to the Basin water charging objectives and principles, which are based on commitments made by states in the National Water Initiative.
