On 10 July 2026, the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ released its 29^th interim report of the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´â€™s Gas Inquiry into gas supply arrangements in Australia. The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ continues its focus on the operation of the east coast gas market.

This report provides:

• the latest outlooks on short-term supply and prices for gas under long-term contracts
• updates on investment in long-term gas supply and upstream concentration in the east coast market, and on the Queensland LNG producers’ positions
• an overview of gas storage operations on the east coast, including analysis on the availability and utilisation of storage facilities, and competition between storage facilities and close substitutes.

The report also provides the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´â€™s finalised guidance on retailer selling practices.
