ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ consultation on ARTC 2023 annual compliance submission24 Jan 2025

The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ is conducting a public consultation as part of its assessment of the ARTC’s compliance with the Hunter Valley rail network access undertaking (HVAU) for the 2023 calendar year.

Submissions can be made to the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ by email until 5:30 pm AEDT, Friday 21 February 2025. Submissions should be made by email and addressed to:

Comments are welcome on any aspect of ARTC’s compliance submission, which is available on the project page from the menu on the left-hand side. Key considerations include:

  • under-recovered revenue
  • net capital expenditure
  • efficiency of operating expenditure
  • the True Up Test and audit report.

After consultation the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ will consider submissions and then make a final determination on ARTC’s compliance for 2023.

The ARTC submission outlines:

  • an under-recovery of $20.0 million
  • total operating expenditure of $218.4 million
  • net capital expenditure of $51.8 million
  • gross tonne kilometres (GTKs) increased from 39.8 billion to 42.1 billion.
