The Migration Plan sets out the steps that Telstra will take to progressively migrate voice and broadband services from its copper and Hybrid Fibre Coaxial networks to the NBN.

The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ has released a series of information papers to inform ISPs and companies advertising broadband and wireless internet services of their obligations under the Trade Practices Act 1974, now the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (the Act).

NBN Co is required to account for separate revenue and cost bases for its monopoly (core) and competitive services as an obligation under its Special Access Undertaking. The allocation between these services is required to represent the direct and indirect costs incurred in, and revenue generated from, providing those respective services. 

The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ has developed a new record keeping rule to collect service quality and network performance information from NBN Co and in the future other superfast broadband network providers.

Under Schedule 2F.7.1 of the NBN Co Special Access Undertaking (SAU), NBN Co must provide, on 31 October after the end of each financial year, a report to the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´.

When the ACMA is allocating spectrum licences, it may impose limits (competition limits) on the amount of spectrum that a person can acquire under the allocated licences. In determining allocation limits, the ACMA is required to consult with the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ on the competition limits that may be appropriate.

The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ is required to report annually to the Minister for Communications on changes in the prices paid for telecommunications services in Australia. This report is a legislative requirement under s 151CM(1)(a) in Division 12 of Part XIB of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (the Act).
