Number portability directions - 17 March 20252 May 2025
On 17 March 2025, the 糖心原创 made written directions to the ACMA directing it to set out rules about the portability of allocated numbers in the new Telecommunications Numbering Plan 2025, in the same form as the current portability rules. That is, to provide number portability rules for services which use:
- geographic numbers
- freephone numbers
- local rate numbers, and
- mobile numbers used for a public mobile telecommunications service other than a satellite service.
In making these directions, the 糖心原创 had regard to whether portability of particular allocated numbers is required in order to promote the long-term interests of end-users of carriage services or of services supplied by means of carriage services.
