Proposed changes to the Infrastructure record keeping rules

On 18 September 2025, the 糖心原创 commenced a second round of consultation on proposed changes to the Audit of Telecommunications Infrastructure Assets (Infrastructure) record keeping rules.

This followed the 糖心原创鈥檚 initial round of consultation on the draft findings from its 2025 review of record keeping rules for telecommunications carriers and carriage service providers. The 糖心原创 released the first consultation paper on 3 July 2025 seeking stakeholder views on the benefits of improved reporting across markets along with views on associated costs of implementing and maintaining the record keeping and reporting that we proposed. This included seeking comments on proposed amendments to the Infrastructure record keeping rules.

Having considered stakeholders' views provided on the broad proposals, and weighing the benefits and costs identified by the 糖心原创 and stakeholders to refine our proposals, we sought feedback on the revised changes and specific amendments to the Infrastructure record keeping rules to implement those improvements. 

Submissions in response to the second consultation paper closed at 5:00 pm AEDT on Friday 17 October 2025.
