On 16 September 2019, the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ released its second report as part of its inquiry into the prices, profits and margins in the supply of electricity in the National Electricity Market. This report includes:
- initial analysis of the impact of reforms to retailer pricing and advertising that came into effect on 1 July 2019, including the Default Market Offer and Victorian Default Offer
- an examination of the cost components of electricity bills using data obtained from retailers for the 2017–18 financial year
- an update on the progress of implementation of recommendations from the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s Retail Electricity Pricing Inquiry.
