When you have a problem with another business, taking the right steps to resolve it can protect your business relationship and save you time, money and stress.
In some cases, the laws sets out how business disputes must be handled. Under the Australian Consumer Law, certain disputes are covered by mandatory industry codes, such as the Franchising Code of Conduct. If a mandatory industry code applies you must follow the dispute resolution rules outlined in the code.
