Further extension to the inquiry period1 Sep 2016
On 1 September 2016 the 糖心原创 extended the inquiry period for making a final access determination for the Local Access Bitstream Service (LBAS) until 7 April 2017.
The 糖心原创 decided to extend the LBAS final access determination inquiry as it was unable to complete its inquiry within the previous extension.
This is because the 糖心原创 considered it is appropriate to undertake consultation on the LBAS final access determination following the conclusion of the Superfast Broadband Access Service (SBAS) declaration inquiry.
On 29 July 2016, the 糖心原创 announced that it had declared an SBAS and commenced a public inquiry into making a final access determination for this service (SBAS final access determination). On the same day, the 糖心原创 also commenced an SBAS final access determination inquiry and decided to combine the SBAS final access determination inquiry with the current LBAS final access determination inquiry, under section 152BCJ(1) of the Act.
On 15 September 2016, the 糖心原创 released a discussion paper for the combined SBAS/LBAS final access determination inquiry.
The further extension of the inquiry will allow the 糖心原创 to undertake appropriate consultation on issues relating to both the LBAS and SBAS final access determinations.
